YDS kalıp ifadeler: Academic Expressions

Sınavda nasıl soruluyor?

Kalıp ifade soruları cloze testte ve cümle tamamlamada saklıdır: "in terms of", "with regard to", "on the grounds that", "in the light of", "to a large extent", "as opposed to" gibi çok sözcüklü ifadeler boşluk olarak sorulur. Çeviri sorularında da Türkçe karşılığı zor olan bu kalıplar seçilir. Ayrıca resmi akademik üslup (hedging: may, appear, suggest, tend to) anlamca en yakın cümle sorularında kesinlik derecesini değiştirir.
